It's Wednesday!

This week is going by kinda fast. Not that I'm complaining, just making a statement.
Here are some highlights from the week so far via my iphone of course.

Last night I was completely homework free. Tonight, not so much. But it's just grading. I tell my kids that they aren't the only ones that have homework every night, I do to. Usually they look at like I'm crazy (I get that look a lot from them).

Check out the new arm candy. Yeah all the cool kids at school are wearing them. So natch they gave me one because I'm a "cool" teacher.

Oh and hey, school pics.

I finally got a pair of burgundy jeans. I've been dying for a pair for a while now and lucked into this pair this weekend while shopping. Obsessed with Madwell jeans now. The absolute best part? I got these babies for only $21. They practically gave them away. Thank you West Georgia student ID for getting me that student discount!
Want to see how awkward I really am? Check out these outfit pics from yesterday

My boring little corner is becoming less of an eyesore. I posted on Instagram a pic of my new chair but I've recently added a cute little bird cage next to it. No, I don't plan on keeping a real bird in there. The crazy lady at the store really thought I was going to.

Um am I the only one in the universe that didn't know there was a new iphone coming out? And it's in color? Didn't the iphone 5 just come out. I mean I've only had mine for like 6 months, and it's an iphone 4s. Slow down in the tech Apple. I can't keep up.

Life Changer

Tuesday, September 10: Describe a distinct moment when your life took a turn.

Life changing moments happen like every other day. I mean I'm a girl, I cut my hair or part it a different way and boom, life change. But one moment that really changed me was the day I started my student teaching. It was in a kindergarden class at a school about 10 minutes from my college, real rural. It was the day that I finally felt like I was in the right place, doing the right thing. I felt like I knew for sure what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. It was amazing! And look at me know, "freshly" graduated with a full time job teaching the tiny humans and loving most seconds of it. Not every day is perfect but there is something good in every day. I'm for sure growing and learning everyday.

What's was life changing moment for you?

Blogtember Monday, September 9: My Personality

I've taken this test before when I was an Orientation Leader and my results are the same. I am an ESFJ through and through.
E- Extraverted
S- Sensing
J- Judging

Here are some characteristics of an ESFJ:
*Enjoy being in charge
*Wear their hearts on their sleeves

You can read the full profile here.

Some of my favorite people are ESFJs. Like Mary Tyler Moore, Sally Field (Her character Ms. M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias is where I got my middle name), Rachel McAdams, Desi Arnez "Ricky Ricardo", Terry Bradshaw (NFL Quarterback), Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba

I encourage y'all to take the test and learn something new about yourself!

Wise Words

So I don't know about y'all but I am exhausted. Physical, mentally, every since of the word. I had these great plans of doing an Outfit of the Day post, because I was really digging my outfit today... but I literally just got home from school. Even the most well laid out plans get changed. But it's Blogtember and we must go on. I really like today's topic.

Day 3:
Pass on some useful advice or information you learned and always remembered.

This piece of advise was passed down to me from my parents. Growing up in a God centered family was such a blessing. Knowing that I don't ever have to go through life alone is such a wonderful feeling. But let's face it, life isn't always easy. There are some day when I'm so aggravated, or annoyed I just want to pull my hair out and call a friend and just vent about every and anything. Don't get me wrong, sometime you need to talk out loud to figure situation but one thing that my mom would always tell me when I was having a "vent-fest" is pray about it.
When I was younger it used to annoy me. Like come on mom, I need to you fix my problem, like now. Little did I realize God was already on the case, I just had to ask Him. I feel like life get a lot easier when I take a step back from a situation and pray, asking God to guide me, and be with me every step of the way.

So there's my advise to you! I hope you've had a great Thursday. Tomorrow's FRIDAY!!

Blogtember Day 2

Day 2 of Blogtember!!

If you could take three months off from your current life and do anything in the world, what would you do?

Believe it or not but I found this pretty hard to answer. Mainly because there's SO much I would want to do.

Of course I would want to travel. Europe especially.

So I'd do that for like a month.

What i would REALLY like to do is learn how to sail. I'm obsessed with sailboats and have been sailing before and I just can't get enough. I don't want to do the extreme racing around the world ind of sailing but the leisurely, enjoy the wind in my hair kind of sailing.

I would love to spend days upon days on the water learning something new, and getting a tan :)

Or there's always becoming a country music star. Hey, sky's the limit right?
I mean who wouldn't want to be like Ms. Carrie?!

Blogtember Day 1

Two posts in one day?! I must be crazy, or maybe you're just lucky.
I hesitated (only slightly) about joining Jenni's Blogtember but after reading a few blogs I decided to join in! The blog everyday in May looked like fun and I'm really digging the topics of this link up.
So here's to blogging everyday!

Day One: Where I come from. Describe where you come from. The people, the places, and/or the factors that make you who you are.

It's real simple. I was born and raised right outside Atlanta. Just a hop, skip and a 20 minuet drive and there she is.

I grew up with my mom, and dad until they decided that I was too much of a diva to be an only child and had my brother 2 year and 6 days later. Thankfully he was a boy, Lord knows I didn't need a sister (until college).

Yeah you remember those Old Navy flag tees. Every family has this picture, if you don't you're lying to yourself.

The summer before 8th grade we moved 2 miles down the road and into the biggest rival of my old high school, Brookwood. Best move ever. I loved Brookwood.

I grew up playing soccer until 10th grade and ran track/pole vaulted (yes, pole vaulted) all four years of high school.

We don't have a lot any extended family in Georgia so we always had to travel pretty far to see relatives. But as a result we become really close with the people at church and they became like a second family. I can't imagine not growing up with them.

Senior year I had a really close group of girl friends. We all ended up going to different colleges (how lame).

I went to West Georgia in the Fall of 2008, and got my degree in Early Childhood Education with the intention of transferring to a bigger school *cough*cough* UGA but fell in love with the campus. Joining my sorority and becoming an Orientation Leader didn't hurt either :)

For the Love of Fall

I love Fall! That's probably not the first time I've said that and it most certainly isn't going to be the last! I love everything about it.
I love the changing color of the leaves
Crisp, cool evenings
Football.. Hello! Welcome to the South
Pumpkin flavored everything
Warm sweaters
Mom's famous chili
Hot chocolate
Layering jackets
Fuzzie socks
Not to mention the holidays that follow.
Seriously this list could go on.

But the clothes are by far my favorite thing about Fall.
Here are a few things that are on my Fall Wish List.

What are you dreaming of this Fall?

Weekend Review

This 3 day weekend is just flying by! Isn't that how it always goes though?!
I went to Kelly's Friday night to go out with a bunch of girl friends for the college football kickoff. Let me just tell you, I've never seen Buckhead so crowded! But we still had a good time.

Saturday was spent walking my sweet babes. We went to a new park that only had one doggie water fountain and my diva dogs wouldn't drink from it therefore were panting like crazy when we finally made it back to the car.

What a happy girl.

And of course watching football the rest of the day. I cannot tell you how nice it was to just laze around in front of the TV all evening eating frozen yogurt, and other junk food I should stay away from.

Sunday I went to church and did a little bit of shopping. However shopping on a budget isn't really shopping at all. So I only bought a dress, on sale, from Target. Being grown up sucks sometimes.

Today I told myself that I would find something fun to do and not work on school work but of course I'm a work-o-holic and just HAD to get myself organized for the coming week. But on the plus side I feel much better about starting the week. (We start the "Word Work" portion of our Daily 5. Fingers crossed it goes as well as the rest of Daily 5!)

How was your weekend?
