so if you follow me on instagram, you've seen that i've been at Passion this week. it was my first year going and most certainly not my last! if you haven't heard a Passion before you're not alone. i hadn't heard of it until last year when some friends from school went to Passion 2012. it is a four day, christian conference for college aged students (18-25), held at the georgia dome. there were 60,000+ students there!
if i had to describe the past four days in one word i would first tell you that i can't, but if i had to try it would be AMAZING!! and that honestly doesn't even begin to cover it. there were amazing speakers such as Beth Moore, Francis Chan, and Louie Giglio, the founder of Passion. there were students from all 50 states, and 54 countries. we broke down into different color groups, i think there were 19, or 20 groups. from there we were divided into groups of 6-8. these were our family groups. i honestly didn't think that our family groups would become very close within the four day that we were together but i was wrong. we became so close. it was completely amazing to meet so many christian students and to hear their stories and learn what they are doing on their campuses.
the mission that Passion has been focusing on the past two year is modern day slavery. did you know that there are 27 million slaved today?! that's more than any other time in history. i don't know about you but that just makes me sick. no one should be forced through violence and other terrible acts to do things against their will. throughout the four day, 60,000 "poor college students" raised over 3 million dollars to help shine a light for freedom. and i'm proud to say that i am "in it to end it"!! it's so encouraging to know that our generation is stepping up and doing amazing things in this world.
so enough of me talking yall want to see some picture.

i'm not sure where this picture cam from, i didn't take it obviously haha but this is the candle light ceremony we had on thursday night to shine a light on slavery. it was amazing to be apart of history.
if you have the opportunity to attend Passion 2014 take it! it will completely change your life, like it changed mine.
here's some more information about the conference and Passion City Church in Atlanta.
